Braving New Experiences
One of the most stressful activities for our son used to be getting a haircut. The sound of the hairdryer or the feel of the scissors would send him into a screaming frenzy. We tried to prepare him for days before each appointment, introducing him to the hairdresser and the tools they used, but nothing worked. But after the third course of treatment, my son went to the hairdresser and, for the first time, he didn’t scream or cry. He calmly got his haircut, and it felt like a miracle.
His progress didn’t stop there—he’s now playing with other children, sharing toys, and even watching longer cartoons, something he could never do before. He surprises us every day with what he’s learning, and it’s amazing to see how far he has come.
