Discovering a Caring Heart
Our son used to be completely absorbed in his own world—so much so that we never thought he could care for others or show empathy. But after several courses of treatment, we witnessed something truly remarkable. One day, without prompting, he brought a blanket and pillow to his younger sister, who had fallen asleep on the couch. He covered her up carefully, showing a level of care and tenderness that we never thought possible.
Moments like these show us that he’s not only learning to interact with the world but also developing emotional connections with his family. We are beyond proud of the young boy he is becoming.
